"The comprehensive EVYS training gave me a whole new set of tools for teaching Yoga. During the first part of the training, a whole new world was opened up trough the fascinating teachings about Yoga Philosophy and it's eight limb path. On the second part of the training we dissected, analyzed and learned to teach almost all the basic Hatha Yoga Asanas. We also learned how to modify Asana in order to teach to a wider range of individuals with different physical limitations. Almost a year after graduation I feel a lot more confident about my skills as a Yoga teacher and I know that I have a lot more to offer to the people we serve trough Yoga Day."
"Not only the content of the training is incredible but more importantly Emily and Srheehara are extremely talented individuals who do a fantastic job presenting the vast content of the training. They are always enthusiastic, patient and eager to help all trainees to succeed. The EVYS also relies on a network of great teachers who visit the training and enrich it with their own knowledge, experiences and perspectives."

"EVYS taught me so much about the mental, spiritual, and physical practice of yoga. It was truly a wonderful opportunity to learn about yoga in a supportive community of teachers and peers," says Christina. She recently moved to Atlanta and hopes to teach community classes there to spread the joy of yoga to all.

"I choose EVYS because I wanted a complete education in Yoga. Not only did we get the opportunity to study the Eight Limbs of Yoga, but we were also introduced and discussed Yoga Philosophy! Embracing the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras has enhanced my practice and beneficially influenced my lifestyle.”

"Honestly, I chose to enroll in the Esther Vexler Yoga School for 2 reasons - (1) I had wanted to deepen my yoga practice and begin incorporating yoga theory and practice into my work as a therapist/professional counselor; (2) the school was close to home. I had no idea what I was really getting into. I had no idea what wonderful people I would meet. I had no idea that it would change my life. My time in EVYS took me deep into myself, introduced me to a community of fantastic, compassionate, loving folks, and taught me the details - physical and philosophical - that I needed to become a yoga teacher. In addition to all of that, my time in EVYS helped me firm up and flesh out my plans for my doctoral dissertation. I was nurtured, supported, and challenged, and I recommend the school to everyone I know!"

"I'm very fortunate to know a soul connected yoga sister that led me to EVYS in 2014. EVYS helped open my heart to begin my healing journey. I'm inspired to continue learning about yoga and will never stop. The EVYS school educates students in how to teach yoga, learn about themselves, and connects everyone involved with the community. What I did not expect to receive (besides a world class 200 hour certification) were the amazing friendships....which means the world to me." - Virginia Feldman, Class of 2015
"Taking part in the EVYS 200 Hour Teacher Training Program opened up so many opportunities for me! These opportunities rose from new friends and resources and a deeper understanding of myself in relationship to the practice of Yoga. Led by an exemplary group of instructors and guest speakers, the course combined the ancient philosophy of Yoga that set the structure for the practice of the Asanas while incorporating the depth of the Wisdom of the Heart through meditation, pranayama and self study. I cannot think of a better use of my resources for the return on investment that continues to inform all aspects of my life!
Find your joy", Barb Ritchie, Class of 2015
Attending Esther Vexler Yoga School 2015 session has been by far one of my best experiences. After meeting Esther and taking a few of her classes and to support a local yoga school, I knew that this was the right choice. Various guest instructors were invited during the year to share their expertise knowledge on one of the “Eight Limbs of Yoga”. Not only did I learn the basic elements of each Asana, I was also instructed on the correct usage of props to make each Asana available for practice. The instructors at EVYS are very knowledgeable and respectful of each student. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and share this time with others seeking the same desire of deepening their knowledge of yoga to share in their community. Words cannot express the bond that developed during this time as each one of us learned the correct methods to teach yoga and how we each enriched our own practice. Each weekend with fellow students and instructors was like a “Mini Retreat”. - Rhonda Drummonds, Class of 2015
Becoming a yoga instructor has been a major life goal of mine for many years. Finding EVYS was a wonderful fit in realizing my dream. The program was appealing for many reasons: it is affordable, supports a non-profit organization, and the instruction and curriculum made the lessons accessible to a wide variety of practitioners. The curriculum is designed to provide a foundation which merged into a well-rounded practicum. Stephanie, the primary instructor, was flexible but thorough in her approach to teaching. She ensured exposure to a wide range of topics, bringing her wide network of talented practitioners and teachers in to provide excellent instruction in addition to her own. I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone looking to simply deepen their practice or to teach yoga with a solid foundation of knowledge and practice. - S.T., Class of 2015
I was a student of the Yoga Teacher Training program at EVYS during 2014-2015. As a graduate, I feel the program was very impressive. The curriculum was balanced with adequate shares of theory and practice. The teachers were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic about teaching, and always willing to help. Overall, I am very satisfied with my decision of attending the program. - Ved, Class of 2015
