Yoga for Now

Now is the perfect time to recommit to your yoga practice. Yoga sutra 1.1 says, Now begins the practice of yoga. The power of this statement is in the word now. Come use this time to begin or begin again your study of yoga as a tool to deal with what is happening in your life.
This workshop is open to anyone curious about yoga or who has previously practiced yoga.

In this time of transition, waiting, and change, now is the perfect time to find your way back to yourself through the practice of yoga.
Explore foundational practices and postures in this 2 hour virtual workshop led by Anne, director of the Esther Vexler Yoga School.

Reserve your space here.

Dive into Om and its impact on our daily lives and practice. In this 2 hour workshop:
-explore the four aspects of Om,
-key teachings about Om,
-how Om connects to our nervous system

There will be a very brief asana practice. A handout with key concepts and recommended further study will be provided. If you are a student who wants to know why this word is important to the practice, or a teacher who wants to be able to share this with students, this workshop is for you.

Our brains work in pictures. Give yourself 2 hours to build your image of your next year. First get into your body with an hour long asana practice. Then using tools like guided meditation, journaling, and felt sense, you will begin to create your vision. We will finish by working on a vision board, options will be given for a digital version or bring your supplies to make a traditional one.
Suggested supplies for a traditional vision board: magazines/picture sources, poster board, scissors, markers, and glue.

Move the concept of chakras from mystical to practical. Using the lens of the chakras, learn how to create a goal in an integrated and meaningful way. There will be a very brief asana practice at the beginning of the workshop.  No prior knowledge is needed, bring yourself, your mat, and a goal/dream.
